Oscilloscope Labs internship and full-time opportunity (film distribution)

From the Career Development Center....

I have been working with a few people over at Oscilloscope Labs in getting their internships posted here with us. They apparently also have an entry-level position that is as of yet unposted anywhere. The contact is the same for both positions. Please forward to any students both current, recently graduated and alums that you see fit.

Here is the internship description:

Oscilloscope Pictures Seeks Distribution Intern

Oscilloscope Pictures is the film distribution division of Oscilloscope Laboratories. Oscilloscope distributes unique, independently produced films in theaters, on DVD, digitally, and via osmosis. We are looking for interns to assist with our day-to-day operations.

Duties are in the field of film distribution - This is not a production job.

Daily tasks include internet research, executing marking strategies, building festival schedules, coordinating publicity materials, updating film websites, making runs, executing basic administrative tasks, and more.

We are seeking interns who are bright, motivated, and eager to learn within the context of a fast-paced, close-knit environment. Our company is multifaceted and unique, and so should you be. Being able to take initiative and solve problems independently is a requirement. Experience with the scientific exploration of folding space and time is a plus.

Applicants should be web-savvy and proficient with Macs and Excel. Photoshop skills not required but appreciated. A background in film studies is helpful, however, business/marketing students are encouraged to apply.

To apply please forward your resume, along with a cover letter, to aaron@oscilloscope.net

This is posted to our website as well, so if anyone needs that link, here it is:

Thanks!
