Marketing Generalist Intern

Responsibilities for this position include a wide variety of corporate marketing functions including:

·         Assist in the creation and development of product collateral materials

·         Event planning of Annual Dealer Meeting

·         Assist with Annual Photoshoot (on-location and studio)

·         Participation in the design and maintenance of company websites

·         Creative/Technical writing and editing of copy for communications (external and internal)

·         Brainstorm/create advertisements for 2013 and 2014

·         Develop new content for DVD scripts and brochures

·         Assist with content for multiple social media platforms

·         Audit dealer information

·         Monitor dealership lead generation

Upcoming Culture of Care Events


What is Culture of Care?
 
Mission:  Culture of Care is a campus wide, student-led and staff-supported initiative focused on creating a campus culture in which members of the Indiana University Bloomington community demonstrate “care” for one another.  Through bystander intervention, the Culture of Care initiative empowers students to support their peers.  The Culture of Care initiative promotes helping one another, behavioral change, and raising awareness about four core areas: Sexual Well-Being, Mental Health, Alcohol & Drug Awareness, and Respect.
 
Vision:  IU students have the Courage to Care.
 
This initiative began in Spring of 2012 as a week of events and has since expanded to a year-long initiative.  Below is a list of upcoming efforts aimed at supporting the mission of Culture of Care.
 
Culture of Care Upcoming Events and Initiatives:
 
Speaker Series:
Jaclyn Friedman – Speaker on Sexual Assault and Consent
This event is a part of the Culture of Care speaker series.  Jaclyn Friedman will be speaking on campus on March 25th at 7 pm and 9 pm in the Whittenberger auditorium. 
 
Judy Shepherd:  The Meaning of Matthew
The event is co-sponsored by several departments and groups on campus.  Judy Shepherd will be speaking about hate-crimes on April 10th in Whittenberger auditorium.  This event is a part of Culture of Care Week and will be on “Respect Day.”
 
Culture of Care Week:
Culture of Care Week is on April 8th – 11th.  The week will include events aimed at raising awareness and educating students on topics associated with each of the respective days. 


Monday – Mental Health Awareness
Tuesday – Respect
Wednesday – Sexual well-being
Thursday – Alcohol and Drug Awareness


 

Greek Safety and Medical Training Initiative

IC-EMS (group of certified student first aiders and emergency medical technicians), Panhellenic Association, Interfraternity Council (IFC), and Culture of Care will be collaborating to train the risk management teams of IFC and Panhellenic sororities and fraternities in first aid and CPR.

Casting call for a film to be shot in the Bloomington area this coming May


Rosehill is looking for experienced production assistants and extras. Graduates are preferred. Work is volunteer based and shooting hours can last between 8 and 10 hours. The film will be shot this coming May in the Bloomington area. It stars acclaimed actress and filmmaker Josephine Decker and New York actress Kate Chamuris. Associated filmmakers have had their work screened at hundreds of festivals throughout the world and have served clients such as Sony Pictures, Showtime, the History Channel, and plenty more. This film will most certainly be submitted to festivals and would be a wonderful addition to your resume. Interested individuals should send resumes to Assistant Producer Zollie Barnes at zjabarnes@umail.iu.edu. "An Indirect Path" Career Night

This is being offered by a different department, but I think it would be a great event for CMCL majors as well! 

 
 
Do your parents constantly ask you how you’re going to get a job as an anthropology major?  Do you have friends that question a knowledge of syntax will help when you end up working in an office? The members of FESA (Folklore & Ethnomusicology Student Association) understand where you’re coming from.  That is why we invite you to join us for a Career Night.  We will have one of the great staff members of the Career Development Center on hand to give a presentation and answer questions, along with alumni of our department who are using their majors in interesting and unique ways.  Also, we’ll have refreshments!  This event is sure to be beneficial, and a lot of fun!  So, come and see us on Wednesday, March 20thThe presentation will start at 6:30 PM in the Folklore Building at 510 N Fess (1.5 blocks North of Mathers Museum, and 1 block West of Collins LLC).
