Rounder Records and national recording artist Carrie Newcomer is offering a $200 prize for the best short video using her new song "Don't Push Send," a humorous look at the dangers of e-mail communication. All entries must use all or part of the song “The Don't Push Send.” E-mail has led to an explosion of information and ever-increasing speed of communication. For better or worse, with the push of a button, you can now blanket the world with your thoughts. With a miscued “cc”, you can now offend a whole company or even lose your job or spouse. Newcomer's song is recorded in a playful ragtime style with great musicianship and production quality.
How to Submit Your Video
You may submit your video to the contest by posting it on YouTube and then sending a short message to info@mgrfirm.com with your name, address, phone number and video file name on YouTube. Your video submissions may be featured on the dontpushsend.com website which will offer a free download of the song and a running archive of funny e-mail stories. The contest ends January 31, 2008, and the winner will be contacted and announced on the new web site after that date.
