Brief Description of Company or Organization: The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.

Responsibilities of Internship: Assisting with the writing of various media materials that enable staff and volunteers to fulfill and communicate the ACS mission, working with the communications team to enhance public relations strategies and evaluating earned media results. Producing and distributing media materials, updating media databases, brainstorming and executing communications tactics and occasionally collaborating on the creation of collected materials.
