MIDDLE EAST/CENTRAL ASIA CAREER NIGHT

Join IU Alumni and career professionals who specialized in Middle Eastern and Central Eurasian studies and now work in careers that draw on their knowledge of the languages and culture! Panelists will share their experiences abroad; provide tips on how to maximize your time here at IU, and offer strategies for students seeking international work. There will be time set aside to network with the panelists and other students with similar goals and interests. This night should be especially useful for students in international studies, area studies, languages, journalism, and other majors focused on global careers.

HIRE BIG TEN PLUS - DIVERSITY IN BUSINESS Application Deadline: Friday, October 16 at 5 p.m.

Diversity in Business, an exciting opportunity for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, will take place on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 8am - 6pm in Downtown Chicago. This program will give students who are considering a career in business an opportunity to spend the day visiting two firms and attend workshops and networking events with employers who have a particular interest in diversity recruiting. The day will begin with breakfast and an opening presentation, followed by two morning site visits. The group will reconvene for an employer sponsored lunch, and then participate in an afternoon workshop. The day will conclude with a closing reception where students will have the opportunity to network with company representatives as well as each other. Please note that this event is walking intensive, so please wear comfortable shoes.

Students from all academic majors are encouraged to apply. To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please prepare the following materials:
