Our program has 3 opportunities for young people to take part:
• 10 filmmakers in each of 6 cities will come together for 1 week of production to cast, produce, shoot and edit a short film starring a celebrity. Ages 13-19, anyone can apply!
• Students from participating universities (Indiana University is one of these) can apply to be INTERNS – and are not intern to the producer, they ARE the PRODUCER, DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR and BEHIND THE SCENES DOCUMENTARIAN for each set.
• SCREENPLAYS: We are accepting screenplays between 5-15 pages that feature the theme ‘ingenuity takes a refreshing twist, and is rewarded for it.’ Think Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, etc.

APPLICATIONS FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE END NOVEMBER 30th so we are desperately trying to get the word out to as many people as possible, as this is really a great opportunity! Filmmakers don’t have to pay anything to participate, and interns actually get PAID to travel, work and be staff!

Our main promotion at the University level has been to find Staff Interns and Screenwriters. That said, anyone 19 or younger can also apply for their chance to be on the film crew. Its an amazing opportunity. You get a very hands-on feel for all aspects of runing a film set. So if you can do a targeted eblast to freshman this would be a great opportunity to promote.
