Location: Bloomington, IN
Brief Description of Company or Organization: WTIV public television and WFIV public radio. Both stations are university licenses and operate out of the IU Radio and Television Center.
Description of Duties: Serving as a fact checker by comparing the guide files against the master schedule; preparing the overnight listings and providing the document to the membership department and the email subscription list; preparing a document with a web link for each program on WTIU; assist inc compiling information for the E-News electronic newsletter twice a month; learn to write press releases for local Media; assist with the organization, planning and execution of public events hosted by the station; participate in fund drive activities including planning and distributing advertising and promotional materials and answering phones as new members call in pledges; assist in compiling information about PBS programs for educators and distribute that information through email lists and regular mail; participate in regular office duties such as labeling, filing, stuffing promotional bags, etc.
