TEACH FOR AMERICA: FINAL DEADLINE APPROACHING
Final Deadline For Teach For America: Friday, February 4, 2011
By the time they reach fourth grade, children living in low-income communities are already two to three grades behind their higher-income peers, and just half of them will graduate from high school. However, we at Teach for America believe that when these children are provided with high-quality teachers, these numbers can be dramatically different. Therefore, we seek our nation's future leaders - outstanding recent college graduates and professionals from all majors and backgrounds - to commit two years to teach in our lowest-income communities and join a movement to ensure educational opportunity for all.
This year alone, 8200 Teach for America teachers are working to revolutionize the educational opportunities for more than 550,000 students in low-income communities around the country. Additionally, more than 20,000 alumni are currently advocating for these students in fields such as business, law, medicine, and more. Will you be the next leader to join this movement?
To apply for Teach for America's February 4 deadline, visit https://www.teachforamerica.org/online/info/index.jsp.
