MOCK INTERVIEWS WITH C.H. ROBINSON

Recruiters from C.H. Robinson will conduct 30-minute mock interviews at the Career Development Center. This experience will allow you to hone your interviewing skills and gain advice from experienced recruiters.

FREAKED OUT? HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE JOB SEARCH AND MANAGE STRESS Wednesday, April 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

How worried are you about finding a job? Do you know where to start? Who to talk to? What resources are out there to help you?

Freaked Out? How to Prepare for the Job Search and Manage Stress is an event hosted by both the Career Development Center and Counseling and Psychological Services. The event will focus on job search strategies such as networking. Additionally, a discussion concerning the fears, worries and stresses of the job search will be conducted and useful coping strategies will be provided.

MOVING TO NEW YORK
Wednesday, April 20, 6-8 p.m.
Devault Alumni Center, 1000 E. 17th Street

The IU Alumni Association's Metro New York Chapter President Karen Stone will talk with students about "Moving to New York" at the IU DeVault Alumni Center (just across 17th Street from Assembly Hall). This event is open to all students interested in relocating to New York City for work. In this session, Karen will educate students on the apartment search process. Karen will provide the tools needed to locate, negotiate and move into your first NYC apartment. Food and soft drinks will be provided.

Jullien will share a powerful personal story about how the son of two doctors used his privilege and college experience to create meaning and money in the world instead of taking a traditional path after graduation.

PART 2: Jullien's Strategies
Jullien will give us tools and teach his 30 Day Do It Goal Setting Strategy based on his Good Excuse Goals book that has he uses every month to ensure that he is creating the life he wants. His goal is to end the idea of the New Year's Resolution and introduce the concept of the New Month Resolution.

GREEN JOBS NETWORKING NIGHT

Please join IU Alumni and career professionals in diverse careers within the green jobs industries for an evening of networking. Panelists will discuss their career paths, organizational opportunities, and provide advice for students entering the world-of-work. Each event will also include an introduction to networking, light refreshments, and the opportunity to engage with the panelists. Business casual attire (dress shirt, dress pants, or skirt) is appropriate for this event.

ASCS Q299 is a 2 credit hour, 8 week course that is offered open to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors. This course teaches students how to conduct an effective job search.

The Partnership for Public Service is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to revitalize our federal government by inspiring a new generation to serve and transform the way government works. Amy Bush, the Federal Service Student Ambassador for Indiana University, will hold office hours at the Career Development Center (625 N. Jordan Ave.) throughout the spring semester to assist students in finding internships and full-time jobs with the federal government.
