Brief Description of Company or Organization: The Global Institute for Leadership and Civic Development is an independent educational organization dedicated to training future leaders and global citizens. The organization operates study abroad programs in Prague, Rome, and Panama City. Its primary program, the Global Leadership Program, has been in operation since 2000. To date, the organization has trained over 700 students from 75+ different countries.
Brief Description of Duties: The International Student Outreach Intern cultivates relationships and contacts with international students and organizations at US colleges and universities. The ISOI is in charge of contacting International Student Organizations, providing information regarding the 2011 programs, answering emails from prospective students, and, if needed, delivering information sessions to students and/classes.
A secondary component of the internship is writing articles for an Alumni Newsletter. The intern will contact alumni and write articles featuring success stories and profile stories.
