The BIOL L111 and L112 exemption exams will be offered next Wednesday, August 31, at 7pm in Jordan Hall 124. If students are interested in taking one or both of the exams, the sign-up sheet will be available in the Biology undergraduate advising office (Jordan Hall A115) between now and next Tuesday, August 30th.
One very important change: This is the final time that students who have completed more than 50 IUB credit hours can take the exams. In the future, students with more than 50 IUB credits will not be eligible to sit for the exams. So, please let students know that if they were planning to take the exams in a future semester but will have completed more than 50 IUB credit hours at that time, they should not wait - they should take the exams now!
The exams are each 40 multiple choice questions (passing score = 24). Students receive 3 credit hours for passing each exam (unless they already have credit otherwise), but the exams carry no letter grade. Students can take each exam twice, which includes taking the exams at orientation.
Please note: some graduate/professional schools will not count test credit toward their prerequisites. Students should check with their intended school or with HPPLC to find out more information.
