Brief Description of Company/Organizations: Student Media Group created the PLAN-IT daily planners to help both university students and local businesses. Currently they publish for over 40 universities around the country. Daily planners are a necessary tool for students to stay organized. They include important phone numbers, academic calendars and planner pages. Additionally, there is a local business section that promotes the interaction between the local businesses and the university community. Here, businesses are able to advertise current promotions and services to the university market.
Brief Description of Responsibilities: visiting local business owners face-to-face in Bloomington. I will sell advertising space in the business section of the Plan-It Planner to help customers promote their business. As a current student, I will provide the business owner with insight into the college demographic, therefore helping them build an effective advertising campaign in the planner for the year.
