CHICAGO CAREER EXPLORATION TRIP (hosted by IU SPEA)
Callout Meeting for ALL MAJORS
**THU, 1/26/12, 4pm-5pm – Career Development Center **
Attention undergraduate and graduate students:
The Career Development Center is hosting an informational call out meeting on Thursday January 26, at 4pm to discuss the career exploration trip to Chicago scheduled for February 23 &24. Although hosted by SPEA, the trip is open to all students, with any major.
Since many IU alumni live and work in the Chicago area, this trip provides excellent educational and networking opportunities for current students to meet with, and learn from, Chicagoland professionals. Students will speak with 30+ different organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors through career panels & site visits. Additional alumni and employer representatives will be present at Thursday evening's keynote and reception/networking event.
In 2011, employers included Standard & Poor's - S&P, the City of Chicago - Office of the Mayor & Department of Environment, the EPA, and the Shedd Aquarium among many others (2011 itinerary).
Please note: the Trip is *FREE*; but students are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and most meals.
*The call out meeting is mandatory for anyone who is interested in the trip.
