PAST INTERNSHIP: BLOOMINGTON STORYTELLING PROJECT WFHB 108

Brief Description of Company or Organization: Local volunteer-based organization that creates a weekly radio show for community radio, with the purpose of sharing stories and preserving storytelling traditions.  Also organizes live storytelling events in the community and keeps stories in a free archive online.

Brief Description of Internship Responsibilities: My responsibilities as the Outreach Coordinator intern would be to create connections with the community in order to make more storytelling opportunities. I would be in charge of researching partners we could collaborate with such as individuals or organizations, creating informational brochures to distribute around the city and in schools, planning live storytelling events, and promoting and generating interest for the project.

These responsibilities would include responding to and sending emails, making phone calls, using media, and writing. Additionally, time-permitting, I may take on the responsibilities of actually recording and editing material for the show.
