3:30 PM - 4:30 PM at Informatics East, Room 130
Attend this session to
learn about options in informatics that will add breadth to your future in
healthcare. Informatics provides an excellent way to build your critical
thinking and problem-solving skills. The interdisciplinary nature of the
informatics degree provides you a choice of an area of focus called a cognate.
Several options are available, including the medical sciences cognate and
pre-health professions cognate. Both are designed to make it easy to combine
study of informatics with preparation for health professions fields.
In addition, your health-related coursework in the sciences, combined with a technology bachelor's degree, makes you ideally suited for careers in Healthcare IT, a red-hot job market! Earn a bachelor's in informatics using the coursework obtained in pre-nursing, as it counts directly toward a Pre-health or Medical Sciences cognate. And you can even choose to pursue a second bachelor's in nursing.
Attend our information session to LEARN MORE about our customized academic programs for pre-health students, pre-nursing students, and students interested in Healthcare IT. Combine your health-related coursework with an Informatics Bachelor of Science degree and still have an excellent chance to graduate on time.
