Altria will be back on campus this spring seeking intern
candidates and I would appreciate you forwarding this on to any of your CMCL
students that may be interested. Our internships are challenging and give
students real life experiences. From Day 1, they will be given 30-50 accounts
of their own to manage all summer. They will assess the market’s business
conditions, create plans for growth and sell against their account’s
opportunities. Our internships are 10 weeks long and offer a highly competitive
pay. The 2013 rate is at least $18.00/ hour, with a living stipend if they
choose to intern in a city where they don’t live (our opportunities are
typically in larger cities within Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky), mileage and a
company laptop. According to Business Week, Altria is one of the top 20 best
places to launch your career.
We have student ambassadors on campus that successfully
completed their internship this past summer and were given full time offers
upon graduation. I would love to set up a meeting between one of them and any
interested students you have so they can learn a little bit more about who we
are and what we do before interviews start! We will have recruiters on campus
January 24, 2013 to meet with students and our official interviews are the week
of February 4. Internships are for current Juniors. Being a CMCL alum, I
believe that many of the skills I learned through this degree has prepared me
well for a successful career with Altria.
