College of Arts and Sciences Scholarships

Scholarships: We are now accepting applications for all of the College’s spring scholarship competitions. Specific information about the individual competitions and complete eligibility criteria are available on the College’s Scholarship and Awards page (http://college.indiana.edu/undergrad/scholarships/current.shtml).
 
Please note that we are accepting electronic submissions for all competitions this year, so this should make the process easier for students and faculty recommenders.  For consideration, all application materials must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013. Please encourage your outstanding students to apply!

Intensive Writing Essay Prize
Up to six awards of $150 each
Current IUB students who took IW courses in Summer or Fall 2012, or who are currently enrolled in IW courses (Spring 2013) may submit essays. 
Palmer-Brandon Prize in the Humanities
Up to two awards of $20,000 each
Third- year students with junior standing (graduating in May/August 2014) in specific departments in the humanities. Students must be nominated by their departments for this competition.
*Senior Scholarship Competition
approx. 20 scholarships; amounts vary, but awards are generally modest
Competition for rising seniors (graduating May August 2014) all majors/disciplines. Minimum College GPA of 3.700.
William G. Bray Memorial Scholarship
Varies; usually 3-4 awards of $500-$1,000
Current IUB sophomores or juniors with minimum GPA of 3.750 who are College students with majors or minors in History or Political Science or Kelley School of Business students with a major or minor in Operations and Decision Technologies.
