(Online) Writers: Each week writers will be asked to submit
three short reaction pieces to their Editorial Manager, to be posted on our
site. These timely pieces, which offer humorous insight to local news stories
relevant to IU students, will be submitted to the campus Editorial Manager for
review, feedback and posting.
Social Media Manager: The student working in this position would
be asked to run our local Twitter feed. They would be responsible for
interacting with students over Twitter, increasing our follower count, and
Tweeting humorous quips and links to articles published on our site. They would
have weekly benchmarks to hit, both with gaining followers and tweeting.
Advertising Manager: Advertising Managers work with local
businesses and our corporate team in Chicago to sign advertising packages with
clients. An Advertising Manager is an integral part of this process, describing
our business model, how it can help local businesses generate revenue, and
closing deals. They are paid a percentage of the advertising revenue they
generate.
All of these positions are great ways for students to get
hands-on experience with a growing company that understands a student's busy
