Project: The
Burroughs Century
A festival honoring the 100th birthday
and continuing legacy of William S. Burroughs.
The intern's
responsibilities will all be media-related: updating social media (Twitter,
Facebook, Tumblr); researching publications and websites that should be
informed of our event; helping develop advertising for the event to be
published in relevant publications; and being a liaison with our art and design
group, who are handling posters, fliers, advertising, and the website.
Web design is not a necessity, though if the intern had that skill, it would
not hurt.
At first, it would be tasks done more or
less as directed, like researching advertising rates, but I am interested in
someone who wants to make a contribution and take on bigger projects.
Approximately 10 hours per week, with the possibility of
receiving academic credit under CMCL-C 382 Internship in CMCL
