Calling all techie
women!
The Center of Excellence for
Women in Technology (CEWiT) is proud to announce the Aspirations in Computing
Award in recognition of undergraduate women from all disciplines and majors who
hope to use technology or computing to advance their careers. Applicants are
invited to submit a 500-word essay outlining their future career goals and how
they can use technology or computing to make a difference in their chosen
field. Applications can be submitted through an online form and are due by
December 1, 2013. Ten women will be selected
to receive the $1,000 award. Each winner will be asked to actively engage with
the student alliance of CEWiT to
promote involvement and success for women in technology on campus or in our outreach
programs. These scholarships are made possible through the generous
funding of the IU Women’s Philanthropy Council.
How do I apply?
Applications will be
accepted until December 1, 2013. Applicants are asked to submit a
500-word essay that describes their future career that will use computing
technology to make a difference in any career setting they choose. We do not
require that applicants will have a lot of computing experience at this point –
just an “aspiration” about using technology or computing. To apply for
this scholarship, please complete our application form:
