Exciting Opportunity for Production-Minded Big Ten Graduates

Good afternoon,

I hope this finds you well. I’m writing to tell you about an exciting opportunity for your recent graduates interested in television production.

We are launching a new initiative called BTN N.O.W. (Network Operations Workshop) for recent Big Ten graduates with an interest in behind-the-scenes television production to help build the next generation of technical TV professionals. The 10-week training program, which will begin in June, will provide the selected participants with hands-on training while working alongside some of the industry’s leading professionals.

Applicants must be recent Big Ten graduates (within 2 years) and have previous television production experience either via BTN Student U or local commercial or on-campus TV stations. Training will be conducted for positions including technical director, audio director, camera operator, graphics editor and Dyno/EVS technician. Housing and a weekly stipend will be provided, and the program will run between 30 and 40 hours a week.

We would like your help in spreading the word to your networks to identify the best, most enthusiastic and talented participants. Feel free to share with others who you believe could be helpful.  I’ve also attached a one-sheet that explains the program that could be posted on relevant bulletin boards.

Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to BTNHR@BTN.com no later than Wednesday, March 12. Questions can be sent to that email address as well.

Thanks so much for your help. We are looking forward to launching the workshop in June.

Best,

Elizabeth
