We received
word of an EXCITING event called RECESS,
that is taking place on Monday, April 7th
and would like you to announce/blast to your students.
“RECESS is a music + ideas festival that
brings together successful entrepreneurs, the coolest new startups and the
hottest acts in music to inspire the next generation of world changing
entrepreneurs.” RECESS is touring 7
universities and IU was chosen. Mark
Cuban is the main
investor. The event coordinator, Deuce
Thevenow (2011 IU Kelley grad), contacted us in November and I have been
advising him on venues, contacts, student clubs, etc. He is working with some
others on campus so you may have already heard about this event.
The event is a
4-part experience with one part being a “pitch competition”. Attached is
a 2-slide PowerPoint: please note the 2nd slide that includes info
on submitting a “Pitch Idea” (deadline to apply is March 28th). We
have posted the pitch idea part on social media and will follow up with another
post on the whole event when the students return back next week. Feel
free to share what we used:
