Brief Description of Company or Organization: Berk develops a "detailed campaign tailored to you or your company" Berk works with PR, special event, and marketing firms and promotes them in the greater los angeles area. From making detailed press materials, or targeting the key media outlets needed to promote, Berk is a sure bet in publicity gain-- and in turn will have all copies of any publicity generated. As stated, "We are experts at publicizing business-to-business clients with the launch of new web sites, partnerships, product offerings and IPOs as well as lifestyle and consumer clients such as new television programs, restaurants, sporting events and celebrities." Berk is newly located in Los Angeles, but is grounded in New York City.
Description of Duties: As an intern at this firm, i am expected to be called upon at any time, and be capable of completing all assignments--in a timely fashion. Whether it is putting together a press kit, calling numerous clients to update the firm's information, running errands, working events, typing up and editing releases, attending client meetings, keeping the office and supplies organized, updating calendars, scheduling, etc. as the intern, i am expected to be efficient.
