It’s that time of year again! WIUX Announces A Grand Kick Off to a New Semester!
Bloomington, IN-WIUX 99.1 FM announces that they are ready for a new semester to begin and for it to be better than ever before! Special events and programming for the year has already been discussed by the directors and they are all very excited about it but in order for all of their plans to successfully come to life they need the help and involvement of many eager students.
In order to reach the students the station is holding two events. There will be a campus call-out meeting on Wednesday, September 7th at 9:00 pm in Woodburn Hall room 100. At this meeting students will be able to find out about all of the different ways to get involved at the station. If a student is not able to attend the call-out or just wants to hear more they are welcome to meet with the directors on Friday. September 9th from 12:00 pm to 73:00 pm at the station’s Open House where they can take a quick tour and learn about all the opportunities WIUX offers to students.
There is a variety of different ways that a student can get involved at the station. When many students think of joining WIUX they believe that if they do not want to be a DJ they cannot join and that is not true. WIUX needs all types of students with different talents and skills. Any student who wants to join one of our behind the scenes committees could be greatly appreciated. Out committees are:

We would like for anyone and everyone who has an interest in journalism, music, business, and/or just being an active student to join us at our call-out meeting our open house.
