Dear Students:
We are pleased to announce that your school
has agreed to participate in a pilot test of writing assignments for the new
Core Academic Skills Assessment (CASA). This assessment is part of the new
Indiana CORE Assessments for Educator Licensure program.
We encourage you to participate in the CASA
pilot test which is being offered at Indiana educator preparation programs from
January 14, 2013 through February 22, 2013.
Starting January 7, 2013, please
register at www.pilot.starttest.com.
Why should I participate?
As
a participant in the pilot testing, you will receive a $50 Visa gift card
for each completed test form.
Once
the pilot test has been completed, there will be a drawing and 4 students
will be selected from all eligible entries received to win $100 Visa gift
cards.
You
will have the opportunity to have a “first look” at the writing assignments
included on the CASA assessment.
You
will have the chance to provide input on the test.
How long will it take?
A
CASA pilot test will take approximately 90 minutes to complete.
Who is eligible to participate?
Freshmen
and sophomores enrolled in Indiana colleges and universities
(Faculty members are NOT eligible to take
pilot tests for the Indiana CORE Assessments for Educator Licensure program)
