4. 2013 Hoosier Externship Program, March 11-15 (Spring Break)

Application Deadline: Friday, February 15

Does your resume need some bulking up? Are you still looking for professional work experience before graduation? This spring break, March 11-15, the Career Development Center and Arts & Sciences Career Services will be hosting the 3rd annual Hoosier Externship Program. You'll get the opportunity to spend one to five days observing and working with a professional(s) in a career you might be considering for the future. You will:

- Get a "sneak preview" into what a job or career field is actually like

- Gain valuable insights that help determine whether or not a particular career is right for you

- Build a network of professionals that may help your future employment opportunities

The companies that we work with provide a variety of great learning opportunities over the course of their programs; students have been able to do everything from meet with company CEOs and ride along on sales calls to work on strategic projects for their organizations.

Not only will you gain hands on experience, but the employers can learn a great deal about your work ethic, drive and motivations. Many of the employers use the externship as a way to select students for their internship programs!
