Undergraduate Research Publications Workshop and the Sam Burgess Undergraduate Student Research Award

I have two announcements to share with you regarding Undergraduate Research from our wonderful colleagues at the IU Libraries.

First, please help make your students aware of a new workshop on January 30th to assist students thinking about publishing research—be it scientific, investigative, literary or creative. Faculty who would like to learn more about encouraging their undergraduate researchers to publish are also welcome to attend on Jan 30, 2014 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm in Wells Library 043. It is important to note that pizza, yes, free pizza, will be provided. More information here: http://libprod.lib.indiana.edu/tools/workshops/workshop-listings/series-view/286/series.

Second, please make your students and faculty aware of a great opportunity for students to receive a scholarship and recognition for their undergraduate research through the IU Libraries Burgess Award. The application deadline is February 28th. More information and application materials can be found here: http://www.libraries.iub.edu/index.php?pageId=280&newsId=995.

Many thanks and I look forward to sharing more updates about  Undergraduate Research very soon. Cheers,

Jane
