“Road
Comics: Big Work on Small Stages” is a documentary that follows the
creative brilliance of three stand-up comedians working the comedy club circuit
in middle America. Producer & cultural anthropologist Susan Seizer
(Communication & Culture) follows comics Stewart Huff, Tim Northern, and
Kristin Key as they draw laughter out of the slow quirkiness of lives not made
for TV. Both smart and funny, Road Comics traces humor on the ground in
what are too often considered the “flyover zones” of middle America.
