To access the full list of on-campus interviews and view resume submission deadlines that you qualify for, log into your myIUcareers account, which can be accessed from iucareers.com.  Once logged in, hover over "On-Campus" tab at top of screen; select "Interviews I'm Qualified for."

3. Environment and Sustainability Networking Night

 

Tuesday, April 2, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

DeVault Alumni Center, 1000 E. 17th St.

 

Networking Nights is a collaborative event hosted by the IU Career Development Center and the IU Student Alumni Association. It is a night created to provide students the opportunity to learn the art of networking through interaction with professionals in their field of interest.

 

Please join IU Alumni and career professionals in diverse careers within the Environment and Sustainability industries for an evening of networking. Guest speakers will participate in a panel discussion focusing on their career paths, organizational opportunities, and sharing advice for students entering the world-of-work. An introduction to networking will follow with light refreshments and the opportunity to mingle with the guest speakers. Business casual attire (dress shirt, dress pants, or skirt) is appropriate for this event.

4. ArtWORKS: Success in the Performing Arts

 

Friday, April 12, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Career Development Center: 625 North Jordan Ave

 

ArtWORKS is an event series that takes an in-depth look into creative careers. For the first part of the event, a guest speaker will present a short lecture on the business interactions between performers and the creative arts industry. 

 

Following the presentation, a panel of local performing artists will share their experiences as a dancer, band member, and vocalist.

5. Summer Jobs Fair

Where campus and community jobs are waiting for you this summer!

Looking for a summer job? Our Summer Job Fair is an excellent opportunity for students who are staying in Bloomington this summer and are in need of a summer job. Local employers will be on hand to recruit summer employment to fill full- and part-time vacancies on and off campus. If you are looking for a summer job, you will not want to miss this event!

6. Apply for the Parents Fund Internship Housing Grant

 

Due: Friday, April 19

 

The Indiana University Parents Fund has donated $50,000 to assist with housing expenses for students participating in non-paid, summer internships in U.S. cities. Qualified students may receive up to $3,000 in grants. This program is for Summer 2013 only.



 

To be eligible to apply, you must:

- Have a GPA of 3.0 or above

- Be a rising senior or rising junior, with preference given to upper-class students

- Be a United States citizen or permanent resident

- Demonstrate proof of financial need and qualify for a Pell Grant; FAFSA must be on file

- Participate in a non-paid internship in the United States, with preference given to students participating in internships that are over 100 miles or more from their permanent or Bloomington address

- Complete a career plan that describes how the internship will assist in their career goals

- Complete a budget for the costs of participating in the internship, especially housing costs

- Complete the internship and all requirements of the internship including the signing of the internship agreement. If the internship requirements are not met, students will need to repay the grant

 

The internship must:

- Be both non-paid and meet the academic internship guidelines (See "Q398 Requirements") established by the Career Development Center

- Be at least 32 hours per week, and last at least 9 weeks

 

Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 19, 2013.

7. Hire Big Ten Plus Virtual Career Fair

 

Tuesday, April 9 - Thursday, April 11, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


 

Looking for a job or internship? Save valuable time and meet with recruiters live online at the Hire Big 10 Virtual Career Fair. Alumni and students are invited to interact via chat sessions and meet employers who may not attend all-day events.  The virtual career fair is free for IU alumni and students.
